Brick Township now uses automated recycling. All homes received a blue recycling can.  This is the only can that will be collected.  You can place all of your recyclables into your automated can.  Recycling collection is done on an every-other-week basis.  If you have oversized cardboard, you can leave that at the curb; it will be collected by a separate truck.

The following items can be placed in your automated recycling can:

  • Aluminum cans
  • Glass
  • Tin cans
  • Newspaper
  • Junk mail
  • Magazines
  • Corrugated cardboard
  • Plastic bottles where the neck is smaller than the body of the container (milk jugs, water bottles, soda bottles, detergent bottles, etc)

The following items are not recyclable:

  • Window glass
  • Light bulbs
  • Drinking glasses
  • 5 gallon water jugs
