Ok, so how can I do business with the Township? Added ›05/17/2006 3:18:13 PM
FAQ
Here are a number of ways to increase your chances of doing business with the Township. 1)Make sure you are on our bidder list. Call us, E-mail us, or send us a letter telling us what your goods or services are and request to be placed on the list. 2)Make sure you are on the bid list for the State contracts, County contracts and the Ocean County Cooperative group (Check our Site Links). You cannot receive a contract without responding to these bids. If you are awarded a contract, it opens the door to many more municipalities including boards of education, housing authorities, utility authorities as well as all other entities under governmental regulation or in receipt of tax dollars. 3)Contact us if you have a specialized product. We can’t buy it if we don’t know it exists. 4)Contact us if you have a hard to find item or items that move quickly under certain conditions such as rock salt when snow is predicted. There are times when we spend hours looking for some immediate need or hard to find items that is unknown to us locally or outrageously priced from those we do know about. When the need arises you will most likely be the first contacted. 5) Call us if you are conducting an on site demonstration. A good strong presentation of actual use in the field will very often lead to specifications being written around your product. 6)Keep us abreast of significant changes in the industries. Tell us how it is going to affect the way the Township is currently doing business and what we buy, then tell us how you can save us money by helping or offering alternatives.
