The Squad was established by 7 dedicated public servants over 35 years ago to serve the northern portion. Prior to this there was only 2 volunteer squads in service; Brick Township F.A.S. on Chambersbridge Road and Community F.A.S. on Mantaloking Road. In 1965 the squad built their first building at the Herbertsville Road location and then the Annex Building was built on Lanes Mill Road in 1987 for housing additional ambulances.
