Brick, NJ – The Brick Township Department of Parks and Recreations has announced changes to the SummerFest 2009 schedule.The SummerFest concert featuring The Infernos and Gerard Esposito which was rained out on July 23 has been rescheduled to Monday, August 17.The movie for the August 27 Drive In Movie has been changed from Monsters vs. Aliens to Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
The SummerFest Concert featuring The Infernos and Gerard Esposito will begin at 7 p.m. on Monday, August 17.The concert will be followed by fireworks.The shuttle buses will be in service for the concert.The food court will open at 5 p.m.The vendors for the food court will be community non-profit organizations.Different organizations will be offering a variety of traditional fair and festival foods and beverages.
On Thursday, August 27, the Township will host a special Drive In movie featuring Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.The movie will be shown at dusk on an inflatable screen at WindwardBeachPark.Gates open at 7 p.m. and space will be filled on a first come first served basis.Admission to the movie is free.Refreshments will be sold on site.
Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian is one of the top hits of 2009 and has grossed over $384,000,000 worldwide since its release in May.The Township will be showing the movie before it is released on DVD.
There will be no smoking in the park during these events.
