The Brick Youth Club was formed in 2002 with the support of the Mayor and the Brick Township Council, along with a grant from the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse. The Brick Youth Club is run by a group of high school student advisors who are mentored by B-MAC Coordinator Dan Woska, Jr. The club holds dances for middle school students, family movie nights, and high school coffee houses. The first priority of Brick MAC is to provide a safe, drug- and alcohol-free environment for the youth of BrickTownship. By offering alternative, supervised activities to township youth, B-MAC hopes to prevent drug and alcohol use in the community.
Although all B-MAC events are free and available to all age appropriate township residents, youth in grades 6 and over who want to participate in BYC events must have a membership card. Applications for membership cards are available at the front desk of the Recreation Department, 270 Chambers Bridge Road, and at the B-MAC offices, also located in CivicPlaza. Children in 5th grade and under can participate in family movie nights and other special events but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
All BYC events occur on Friday nights and take place in the multi-purpose room in CivicPlaza. The events listed below are free of charge. Pre-registration is required.
