To Preserve confidentiality, all complaints are to be filed with the Township Clerk to ensure that names can be redacted before consideration of the alleged ethical infraction by the Committee
The citizens of Brick Township are entitled to have a fair, ethical and accountable local government which has earned the public's full confidence in its integrity. It is the mission and purpose of the Brick Ethics Information Committee to achieve this goal by taking action to ensure that:
Public officials, both elected and appointed, comply with both the letter and the spirit of the laws and policies affecting the operation of government;
Public office and employment be used for the public good, not for personal gain; and
Public deliberations and processes be conducted openly, unless legally confidential, in an atmosphere of respect and civility.
