PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Brick will conduct a public sale by accepting sealed bids for the sale of two (2) retail distribution licenses.
1.The bids will be opened on November 30, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., in the Brick Township Municipal Building in the Council Meeting Room, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, New Jersey.
2.The minimum acceptable bid is $500,000.00 for each license and the Township of Brick reserves the right to not accept the highest bid and to reject any and all bids offered.
3.Bids shall be accepted only from those bidders who qualify under New Jersey Statutes pertaining to intoxicating liquors and the Rules and Regulations promulgated by the Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission (ABC).
4.Interested bidders may obtain copies of the forms necessary to qualify to be a bidder from the Brick Township Clerk. All prospective bidders must complete and submit the forms and all paperwork associated therewith (bid and prequalification) by November 23, 2009 at 4:00 p.m. in order for the Township to review the submission to determine if the prospective bidder is a qualified bidder.
5.The Municipal Clerk, shall, five business days prior to the opening of bids, on November 24, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., at the Township of Brick Municipal Building, Council Meeting Room, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Brick, New Jersey, publicly announce those applicants who meet the qualifications for bidding as fixed by law, Rules and Regulations and Resolution.
6.All bids submitted shall be sealed, conspicuously marked on the outside “Plenary Retail Distribution License Bid” and submitted to the Township Clerk no later than November 23, 2009 at 4:00p.m.
7.At the time of submitting the bids, all bidders shall submit with their bid, in a separate envelope conspicuously marked on the outside “Prequalification” written proof from the Township Clerk that they have qualified as a bidder.
8.All bidders shall submit in cash or certified check 10% of the amount of the bid.
9. The bidder whose bid is accepted shall, within 20 days after acceptance of the bid, submit to the Township in cash or certified check the balance of the amount of the bid, which sum shall be held in an interest-bearing account, with said interest payable to the Township until such time as the license is transferred to the bidder at which time the said sum and all interest shall be paid to the Township. The transfer of the license must take place on or before January 12, 2010 unless otherwise extended by the Township.
10. No time extensions shall be granted, and the deposits shall be forfeited if the successful bidders do not comply with these requirements.

All dogs and cats, 7 months or older, in the Township of Brick, must be licensed for 2010 during the month of January. A certificate of Rabies vaccination must be presented, and must be current through November, 2010 for a one year license or November, 2012 for a three year license. Also, if your dog and/or cat has been spayed or neutered, you must present a statement from the veterinarian.
Licenses may be obtained either by mail or at the Municipal Building, 401 Chambers Bridge Road, Monday through Friday between 9am and 4pm. Exact change or check, please. If requesting by mail, please enclose a stamped, self-addressed envelope.
2010 LICENSE FEES:
One year spayed/neutered animal:$10.00
One year non spayed/neutered animal: $13.00
Three year spayed/neutered animal:$26.00
Three year non spayed/neutered animal:$35.00
There is an administrative charge of $1.00 per month for any dog or cat registered after January 31st of each year
