When an application for development is received by the Brick Township Planning Board, many procedural tasks must be completed. The application must be reviewed for completeness and for technical requirements. The application is then reviewed by the Township Planner, Planning Board Engineer, Bureau of Fire Safety, Brick Township Traffic Safety Office, Environmental Commission and Shade Tree Commission. In certain applications, the Board may request a report from its own Traffic Engineer. The professional’s reports are submitted to the Planning Board and forwarded to the applicant and his professionals for response and any revisions. When the application is deemed complete, it is scheduled for a hearing before the Planning Board.
