The judicial branch of the Brick Township Government is the Brick Township Municipal Court. Presided over by the Honorable Robert M. LePore, the Municipal Court holds court sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The Brick Township Municipal Court processed over 18,000 filings during the past year. These included DWI and other traffic matters as well as criminal cases, including drug charges and domestic violence matters. The Brick Township Municipal Court also provides Citizen Dispute Resolution Sessions and these are held on Tuesdays. With the services of volunteer mediators, trained by the Administrative Office of the Courts, many citizen matters have been successfully resolved without the necessity of a trial.
The Municipal Court also has a working partnership with Providence House for the services of Domestic Violence Counseling. This program provides victims of domestic violence complaints, filed within the jurisdiction of this Municipal Court, the opportunity to counseling during the court hearing. The services which Providence House provides have been instrumental in assisting victims of Domestic Violence.

Lawrence is a 1980 graduate of Ramapo College of New Jersey and has been employed with the Township of Brick since September 1980. Mrs. Lawrence was appointed as the Municipal Court Administrator in 1992. She is a member and past Trustee of the Ocean County Municipal Court Administrators Association and has served on numerous committees and working groups. Mrs. Lawrence was awarded the New Jersey Superior Court O.C.E.A.N. Award for exemplary service in the Municipal Division in 1999.
