The Office of Affordable Housing oversees the Township’s obligation to providing affordable housing as mandated by the New Jersey Council on Affordable Housing.
The Office’s duties include negotiating with developers of inclusionary sites, monitoring construction, determining eligibility of all applicants, assisting those selected in securing financing and monitoring all deed restricted units. Annual reporting to the State regarding units, applicants, occupants and fees collected and expended is another component of the office’s functions.

Mr. Fowler, earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography and City Planning from Southern Connecticut State University and his Masters of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers University. Mr. Fowler has been a licensed Professional Planner and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners since 1986. He formerly worked as a consulting Planner for private planning and engineering firms in the New Jersey metropolitan area and specializes in land use and development review planning.
